By now, it ought to be patently obviously that America’s founding and every aspect of our traditions and culture are under vicious, relentless assault by Democrat Marxists who hate our country and want nothing more than to bring it down.
Academia, primary education, entertainment, music, the arts, the pop culture, and even professional sports — all of them have been hijacked by Left-wing extremists who are using those platforms to remake America into the kind of society our Greatest Generation fought to extinguish.
One of the ways the Left does this is by memory-holing history and changing our language to fit a preconceived narrative. The so-called ‘mainstream media’ is the primary vehicle for these changes, and they are supported by a host of ‘support’ outlets like Snopes, a ‘fact-checking’ website that is nothing more than a propaganda mill for the Left.
As reported by NewsBusters, Snopes now appears to be attempting to change the true meaning of the word “terrorism” in order to protect the reputation of a Left-wing domestic bomber.
“‘Terrorism’ has always been a politically loaded negative word. Violent radicals don’t want to be tagged with it. But should ‘fact checkers’ really try to deny that bombing U.S. government buildings fits the T-word?” NewBusters’ Tim Graham wrote earlier this week.
The truth-seeking site noted that Snopes published a “fact check” that asked, “Did a ‘Convicted Terrorist’ Sit on the Board of a BLM Funding Body?”
Snopes took exception to this tweet by @asdomke, an account with less than 4,000 followers: ‘This is convicted terrorist Susan Rosenberg, she sits on the Board of Directors for the fundraising arm of Black Lives Matter. She was convicted for the 1983 bombing of the United States Capitol Building, the U.S. Naval War College and the New York Patrolmen’s Benevolent Assoc.,’” the ‘fact checker’ noted.

Rather than simply brand the statement “True,” Snopes did a pretzel move and listed it instead as a “mixture.”
Huh?
Snopes did indeed acknowledge her conviction but seemed to find the descriptor “terrorist” hard to swallow. (Related: Snopes, the ultimate FAKE ‘fact’ checker.)
The site claimed there isn’t any “universally-agreed definition” of terrorism (which is patently false):
What’s True
Susan Rosenberg has served as vice chair of the board of directors for Thousand Currents, an organization that provides fundraising and fiscal sponsorship for the Black Lives Matter Global Movement. She was an active member of revolutionary left-wing movements whose illegal activities included bombing U.S. government buildings and committing armed robberies.
What’s Undetermined
In the absence of a single, universally-agreed definition of “terrorism,” it is a matter of subjective determination as to whether the actions for which Rosenberg was convicted and imprisoned — possession of weapons and hundreds of pounds of explosives — should be described as acts of “domestic terrorism.”
Terrorism most certainly is defined.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (Footnoted on page 4 of this document): “The Department of Homeland Security defines terrorism as any activity involving a criminally unlawful act that is dangerous to human life or potentially destructive of critical infrastructure or key resources, and that appears intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, to influence government policy by intimidation or coercion, or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.”
Terrorism, generally, is an act of violence to effect a political outcome, and in the case of Rosenberg, her acts of violence were in furtherance of Left-wing political objectives. Period.
How then, can her acts be construed as a “mixture” in terms of terrorism?
What’s really going on here is the Leftists who run Snopes don’t want the term “terrorism” linked with “Black Lives Matter,” though most certainly elements of that movement are not immune to the use of ‘terrorism’ in furtherance of their Marxist agenda.
As for Rosenberg, the reason she’s not still serving her 58-year sentence is because she was pardoned by Democrat Bill Clinton on his way out the door in January 2001, eight months before the 9/11 attack.
